The 2-seat body design is the most sought after Big Healey roadster. This 2-seater is a Sacramento, California car with very minimal rust. The car retains the original floor pans with one very small patch in one corner of the boot area.

This is a complete frame-up rotisserie restoration. Nothing is being overlooked. This car has been completely disassembled and media blasted. It was then primed with an epoxy primer. The chassis and interstructure is primed with a special corrosion resistant epoxy and then all surfaces are painted with a urethane base coat and then top coated with a urethane clear. It will then be color sanded and buffed to a mirror finish, when completed.

The interior will be finished with all new panels, carpets, and seats will be leather, as original. The top and tonneau will be British Everflex. All these items will be dark navy blue.

The engine is completely rebuilt and bored with new pistons, bearings, etc. Carbs are re-bushed and rebuilt. Generator and starter have been rebuilt, as well as all other components, including transmission, overdrive, brakes, rear differential, suspension and steering.

The car will basically be finished all original with Healey Blue paint over Old English White coves. I am planning three major upgrades which are:

    • 60 spoke chrome wire wheels
    • Stainless exhaust
    • Front disk brake set up by Denis Welch (this brake setup is all new equipment, not rebuilt using late BJ8 components) making them easily serviceable.

I had hoped to keep this 2-seat roadster in my collection. It is hard to find an example as solid as this car. Unfortunately, with my investments being a little soft, I have sold this car.
